Learning From Others
Today's efforts were devoted to learning something new with Peak Impact Trainings and working on computer updates, enjoying the first Blog Talk Radio Show after the end of Boot Camp, AND have a My Power Mall Family Chat, among many other non-related business tasks.
The training was with Saul Jacobson, live lead calling in real-time. Though he didn't make many connects, he did tell enough that gave a different view-point on making calls. Jewel S. has her way; the Miracle Team Script is another way; Saul's is another way. Ultimately, just like in Boot Camp, we all must be able to take what works for us and leave what doesn't work behind. The trick is to keep a balanced viewpoint while listening to others' training, and pick what works for us, test it, and evaluate it's effectiveness, or the speed at which it moves us towards our goals.
In essence, listening to this call felt a valuable use of time while multi-tasking on the computer, and, while doing a few things in the periphery of our work space.
3 Things Saul J has learned over his 17 years in business are this:
1) Learn the System of Your Company
2) Use the System
3) Teach the System to Your Team
He states that the simpler the system, the simpler it is to use the system, and therefore, to teach the system.
His goal with the first call is to get the person who's asked for more information to the website . He doesn't convince; he doesn't sell. He makes shorter initial calls to get them the material to decide if business is for them and to show them it's easily duplicable. He knows the person is going to be thinking, "What do I have to do to build this business?"
I didn't catch his whole script, but he said that Peak Impact shall be posting it to their website soon for folks to utilize.
There are 4 steps in the process of working with potential business partners in your business:
1) Are they looking for a business or a job? Many people may not know the difference.
2) Are they looking for a business in your "product line"?
3) Are they interested in your specific company?
4) Are they interested in working with You?
He takes the 2 minute route with people on the first call vs. the 20 plus route. After the initial call and the person has viewed the information, then, he will take extended time with the person to get to know them and to follow-up with serious questions the person may have.
Here's the goal of the initial call:
1) Get information into the hands of person seeking information
2) Obtain time this person can view the information to make an informed decision by going to company provided website; set up appointment to follow-up
3) Follow-up with this person and have an extensive conversation
Here's a loose example, again, because I didn't write fast enough to catch it all ---
Hi ______________. We haven't met. I'm _________________ and I'm making a quick courtesy call. You visited my website a short while ago and you asked me to call you to provide you with some help in developing an income from home. I'm calling to help you out and to provide that information and all our training is free. Have you got about 2-3 minutes?
If no, he let's them GOOOOOoooooooo!
If yes:
1) What is it you want your home business to do for you?
2) On a scale of 1-10, 10 an ultimate, how serious are you about developing an income from home?
3) Can you view information today?
If they can view information, he asked them to write down the correct spelling of his name, his phone number and his website information and also sends them an email. He asks them to have paper handy when they view the material to write down any questions they may have so he can address them in the call he makes to them the same day.
Computer updates were done so that we could retrieve the copy of the NPO List generated by MPM Corporate for Infomercial Replacements. They came through perfectly after updating programs ;-).
It was fantastic to have Jacki back on Blog Talk Radio and tremendous to hear from new folks who have been out there following Boot Camp, and who are brand new to My Power Mall. It was doubly fantastic to have Jean Lacowicz join Jacki on the My Power Mall Family Chat to hear about this weekend's first ever Together We Can Change The World Day! Great job, Ladies.
What is a My Power Mall Family Chat?
Tune in every Monday evening at 6 PM PST to have company updates, training, and to hear from various members of the MPM Family by dialing 212-461-5800 3497#.
