Moving Forward ----Day 16

"The Choices I Make Today Will Determine The Rest of My Life!"
(This quote from Ginny Dye on the last page of the World Changer Team Training Manual.)

Today I kept up with the Leads Team . . . checks-ins with a few of the members to discuss program, spoke with Jacki, and late this evening got on another GoTo Meeting for additional training.

Call time went much quicker today. I got through all 10 leads. I don't have the exact numbers, but I got a few no answers; more VM; and 2 connects.

One connect ended up hanging up on me, but I called her back and spoke with her. She said she didn't request info and didn't want any. Maybe that's why she hung up???

Another person I'd missed when I was calling, but she called my phone while I was still dialing other people. I called her back when the system was done calling the rest of the 10. We connected and set a time to talk this evening when she wasn't driving. At our appointed call back time, she wasn't in, so I left a VM reminding her of the email I sent, and my phone number, and that I would call again.

I didn't have the opportunity to f/u with my person from yesterday, and by the time our GoTo Meeting was done, it was too late in her time zone. I will call both connects tomorrow.

I updated some more of the World Changer scripts. Sent Jacki copies of the VM script I am using for these leads, as well as the Prospect Info Sheet and the MPM Member Checklist.

No juicing today, but got to have homemade potato soup, MMmmmmmMMMm.

Got Big Z to the Doc's to see about his blood panel from two weeks ago. All pretty good. We have a few improvements and will work to get his body what he needs.

The rest of the day was small little details that are important to the wheels turning. Amazing how the day has flown by and it's already 9:30 p.m.

Good news: Sinuses are slowly getting better and I am glad for my health returning, yet again!

I got a surprise in my mailbox today . . . A huge surprise that gave me a welling up of tears and such a feeling of gratitude . . . A Grocery Rebate Certificate from Ginny Dye. She sent her whole M-Team, Founding Members and her volunteers who help with TWCCTW and MPM, a grocery rebate certificate as a way of saying, "Thank you!". I was so touched and moved, I called her right away to thank her even as I was choking my tears back! By the time I got off the phone, tears were streaming and I admit I was sobbing a bit of thanksgiving, and so I called Jacki. I told her how terrific she was to not spill the beans earlier in the week when I was seriously disappointed in not being one of the fantastic five winners of Ginny's contest last week ;-). She wasn't in, so I left her a VM. And, you can bet I was the website in a heart beat to get my program started to send in my receipts for May!!!

WOW! WHAT AN AMAZING GIFT and TERRIFIC HEART our CEO EXHIBITS ;-).

T-Day projects in the wind for May 2:

1) Helping our friend we gave the truck to put in her garden . . . this will happen on Sunday, May 3, 2008.

2) Offer to help a friend mow acres of land.

3) On the following Friday, if the appointment can be made, I will likely be donating ALL my hair to Locks of Love. I did this a few years ago, taking my locks to above my neck; this time, it's likely I'll "bald it" to be able to give much more hair, and, really share a sacrifice for a very short while on behalf of all the kids who can't grow hair. I'm blessed. I have hair and it grows back. Though people may look at me like I'm nuts, I believe it will be a very humbling experience, and a chance to not only give, but to experience life without a head of hair ;-).

Anyone care to join me?

Direct from the Locks of Love website:

"WHAT IS LOCKS OF LOVE?

Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.

"Mission Statement

"Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need."

Moving Forward ------Day 15

Update on my goal statement:

On or before June 13, 2009 (60 days), I would like to personally sponsor 15 people into Big Z Gives Big Foundation Mall who are in alignment with the TWCCTW philosophy and who desire a legitimate revenue stream in their lives in the form of home business. (15 or more; I'm open to receiving my Abundance from the Universe!)

I am pleased to partner with like mind-hearted people and coach them towards their dreams by getting them started, helping them define their why and goals, and supporting them as they take action.

I am pleased at their happiness for earning rebates for the shopping they do already anyway, and their satisfaction knowing their purchases support children in need around the globe.

I appreciate these new team members for their self-starting attitude, and their abilities to seek out answers by reading their Power Bites and Training Materials.

I enjoy how they cleverly explore their malls' maximum potential to bring them a larger rebate, and how they share the business with others so that they may also benefit.

Geared up for first session for our leads program by printing out my prospect info sheet, updating my VM message greeting for when no one answers, and going over the note pad documents I created during Boot Camp. I have a few more changes to make to give the World Changer Team Training Documents for my own ease of use. In essence, I'm taking out elements of the document and placing it into smaller files and labeling them so that I can pull out what I need rather than reading all the fine print that becomes extraneous when you get used to and familiar with using the materials.

My sinuses are really unhappy today and feeling inflamed, so I did some self-care to help them out . . . massage, reflexology, a 30 minute rest, and fresh juice. Today's flavor: carrot, cucumber, parsley, cilantro, garlic, green pepper, green cabbage and celery. It was really good and really garlicky ;-). I drank 16 oz.

I tuned into the coaching call with Jacki after making my first set of calls using the lead program.

Results:

1 connect. He'd already found other options. F/U with email info in case he changes his mind.

1 VM. Left message with my new VM script, albeit with very nasal overtones ;-). F/U with email.

1 connect. Interview successfully. Sent to presentation and schedule f/u. Sent email follow-up. Called at f/u time and no viewing had taken place. It didn't sound like it would happen tonight, but confirmed email address, said to check email spam/junk folders and also my phone number. Said they would call me. I will call again tomorrow.

I look forward to using the system again tomorrow and making my full quota of calls, which are 10. As I get better at the system, I will likely add a few of my own personal leads into the system.

Thoughts of thanksgiving at the end of my day:

How grateful I am that my car is purring and with a full tank of gas ;-). I am grateful to the frogs that are already making sweet melodies outside my house, calling me as sirens to bedtime. I am thankful for our home, our friends, and our health and well-being. I am so glad for HOPE. I am blessed to have a fantastic young man named Big Z as my son, who is talented, artistic, healthy, smart, capable, friendly and funny, and an all-round good guy. I am grateful to have a company like Together We Can Change The World in the world . . . and, the people in it who are the heart energy and fuel behind carrying the vision of T-Day and TWCCTW around the globe --- one heart ignites the heart of another as each of us finds our passions engaged in purposeful giving.

I leave you with a song, for those who haven't heard it yet:

The SIFA Choir and very talented Rilee O'Neill singing the TWCCTW Song:

Moving Forward ---- Day 14

The early morning met me with a sleepy body after getting to bed so late ;-).

Got to Live Chat Operator time and was blessed with a supportive morning message from my coach, sending rays of sunshine and good energy. Thank you!

After our short coaching call, I got a call from another supporter, Mr. Tom, with more sunshine and good wishes. Thank you!

I followed-up with a lead from Boot Camp that I've reconnected with and who didn't get the initial emails I'd sent since they went to her spam filter. She's corrected that and received the information. She has gotten to quickly gloss the info and must do so again, but life is crazy.

I verified she is still interested, but I left the ball in her court, minus some updating I'll do for her when the new mall is launched and any goodies regarding NPOs. She loves the concept of dove-tailing helping non-profits with growing a business, and is awaiting foster care placement in her home after a long period of home improvements and inspections.

A big task was taken care of today: Getting my car to work again. Miraculously I drove it to the mechanic . . . I won't tell you the pins and needles details, but trust me . . . I white-knuckled it a few times ;-).

Their diagnosis was correct and the problem was solved in an additional 3 hours, which included oil change, and another diagnosis that rear brakes are next --- and real soon. My little wagon seemed to purr its way to town . . . We have wheels again ;-). And, these aren't the bi-kind. Yippee!

Picked up Big Z, and for those of you that follow all the blogs, you'll know what I mean when I say, "They have baby ducks!" Get out! As I got to the school, the show and tell had just ended and all the children were gathered around the Mama who received our truck and they now have 2 little bright yellow ducks. QUACK! How fun!

Big Z hurt his finger on the basketball and I decided, what with the car fixed and all that money spent anyhow, we'd do an unexpected ice cream. As I surmised, it solved the pain in the finger AND, it gave us reminding of our love of road trips. We transported ourselves on the road and figured we must be half-way to California at a "peet-stope". It was fun.

The rest of the late afternoon entailed visiting with our neighbors, talking about the economy and our lives, and generally hashing the details of life. Big Z got to play kick-back and ride his bike and shoot the cap rifle that finally has the right "cap gun ammo". It used to be my brother's when we were young (straight from our one and only trip to Disneyland itself!). I got to learn a dance skit from younger sister who is soon to be in a talent show. Wow Gals, we got the moves!

A bonus for the evening was a return call from Sandy to share about her well-being. She is good and shall return home from the birth center tomorrow. Today has been a good day and she and Beverly are doing well. Big brother has come by with his grandparents to check in on Mom and Dad; he admires his little sister. Thank you to those who have sent Sandy your well wishes. She really appreciates them. She is being supported by her parents; and then her husband's parents will come to help out when her parents have to leave.

I am so looking forward to tomorrow's efforts and pushing forth with our goals for Big Z Gives Big. I have my first lead calling time tomorrow just before coaching call, so I'm looking forward with anticipation to getting the system tailored for me, and then, giving calls to the leads.

I'm surprised, in retrospect, how the timing of my calling slots coincides with my health returning, and my available time coming back into balance after a long week. I expect good results and will surely meet some incredible people along the way.

Steady the Ship ----Day 13

Today was a marvelous day of good, good news:

Boot Camper Sandy W had her baby last night! A beautiful little one has joined her family! Congratulations to you and your family, Sandy. We are indeed celebrating your healthy little girl!

Boot Camper Andrea C has just been accepted into the position for Together We Can Change The World Day Director, taking the helm from new Chief Operations Officer, Jean Lachowicz. Congratulations, Andrea. You will make a fine and seamless transition, with the supportive guidance of Jean and Ginny, as you step forth into the space that supports your life purpose. Your journey of growth as a Boot Camper brought you back to yourself and your higher calling. How lovely it will be to journey yet again with you, to Tuscan Villas and beyond, as you touch thousands upon thousands of lives with the vision of Together We Can Change The World Day.

Woweee.

Today I got to meet another Live Lead Team member that I hadn't gotten the pleasure of visiting yet. And, I learned that Boot Camper Eleanor N is on the team as well. Yippee!

Can the day get any better?

Yep!

Creating slogans for Jacki's contest! Big Z created his last week and sent them in; I'm a bit tardy due to my illness, but I belted out some ideas tonight and fired them off before the deadline.

What's more?

The Jacki and Ginny show on Blog Talk Radio. WOW. What a time this evening! So much fun and laughter, and good, friendly fun. Not to mention Ginny's fantastic story of her journey up the mountain! I shared it with Big Z when he got home from his Pine Wood Derby. He liked it and wants to hear it all on his own: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/twcctwradio.

Other news: Big Z's teacher viewed the info about how the school can benefit. As before, she's not ready to proceed. I emailed her a note and thanked her, gave clarification, and told her we'd be here should she change her mind.

Other news: Though we'd hoped to be one of the five winners of Ginny's grocery certificate give away, we weren't. We did sign up three malls, working our way to sponsoring 15 people in Big Z's Foundation Mall, Big Z Gives Big. We are, however, very happy for the winners. What a huge gift!!!! Congratulations!

Live Chat time today was uneventful except for training of a new operator. It was great to follow along with the training and read responses from a seasoned MPM member.

And now, after posting to the blog, the day has come to and end in our land. Time for sleep so we can get up early for Live Chat before school.

Wishing you all a great night of rest.

Sunday ---- Day 12

Today was a house-keeping with email and old documents on my hard drive. Much was deleted, junked and let go of. I have an old account that much junk mail has found its way to over the years; and then again, there is some good mail.

Some good mail comes from Max Steingart, the fellow I mentioned I would be following to learn more about social networking.

I watched a few of his videos and am glad to see he is still out there, updating his skills from the recent past of IM and using all the social networking sites. Unfortunately, one of his trainings just got under way and another may not be available until August . . .

I pulled out a couple of contacts from this account and put them into my current account so that I can send a greeting soon.

I updated an account that has always intended to be used to create new customers, so, will be paying more attention to correspondence from this group as well.

Have had a time with my printer not printing well, so gave it new ink, and it prints even worse! From what I'm reading, something about print heads may be the trouble ;-(.

This evening we got our information coming as to our lead calling times for the Leads Team. My days will be on WED and TH.

Big Z is back and I'm so glad. We had a weird week with extra activities, school, illness, and time with his Dad. I'm so happy he's here singing in the tub ;-). He got to weigh in his car for tomorrow's race while we're on Coaching Call and Family Chat.

I'm also glad the new week is beginning and all is fresh and new once more.

We shall be on our bikes until the car gets to the mechanic, so, hoping for good weather this week. Tomorrow, Monday, is our lengthy day. We have 4 hours of Live Chat, and a coupla hours of calls, plus Big Z's Piano class and Big Z's Pine Wood Derby.

Coaching Call begins at 5 PM PT and Family Chat following at 5:45 PM PT, Monday April 27. We're anxious to learn the winners of Ginny's contest ;-).

Tune in to the calls by going to http:blogtalkradio.com/twcctwradio online, or dial into the radio show: 646-727-2682.

4/25 actions and non-actions for DAY 11:

Spoke with my Great Aunt in FL about her business ideas. Sent her links to a pix of a monstrance that was 12 feet tall, the SIFA Choir Song, and the T-Day site, and a link an online women's networking community.

I also created my profile for this group, and passed along invitations to other women to join with me in online community as part of my advancement into social networking.

Tested my stamina by walking to USPS and the grocer for a chicken and supplies. Needless to say, I was a little weak. I had to rest after I got out of the market and eat something ;-). Boy, was I glad to get myself and my heavy bag of goods home. I did, eventually, get my chicken into the oven with rosemary, and made wild rice and zucchini. This was after I allowed myself a rest/meditation/recovery time from my little excursion. Ain't it funny how a virus can really knock it out of you!?

I received word from my bank my debit card has been compromised by a third party company. Beautiful, eh? It appears that although many people's accounts were affected like mine, that hurrying the new card to our mailboxes will still take some time. Patience . . . patience is needed here ;-).

Big Z came by to get his pine wood racing car for today's weigh-in. So, I made him fresh juice and we got to share hugs and a wonderful visit with each other.

I eased into the evening watching a Dave Mathews Band performance, some Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets, some Barbara Streisand, soccer, and channel flipping. I don't do that often, so it was kind of fun.

Mark Victor Hansen's Rich Results (former) Newsletter

Entire contents reprinted from May 20, 2005 Rich Results Newsletter by Mark Victor Hansen (no longer in publication):

Visualizing your future is key to achieving phenomenal wealth and success. Since your thoughts determine what you receive in life, it is important to remain focused on the positive things you want and not on the negative things you don’t want. Once focused on the positive, you act as a magnet, to attract those things you hold in your mind.

Although I have spoken to hundreds of thousands of people over the past 25 years, there is a one problem I have seen time and time again: When it comes to visualizing the future, people tend to only focus on their careers or business, believing that their financial and personal lives with take care of themselves. This is not true. In order to live abundantly we need to visualize abundance in EVERY area of our lives.

THIS WEEK’S LESSON:
Visualize A Balanced Life For Phenomenal Success And Happiness

In order to attain balance, there are many other areas that need to be treated with respect and paid attention to. I’m going to give you the different areas of life you need to pay attention to. Then in “This Week’s Action Step,” you’ll be deciding on specific goals in EACH area and visualizing yourself living your dreams.

Seven Areas of Life:

1. Financial – this is the area that includes your total income, money you want to invest, money you want to save and debts you want to pay off.

2. Business/Career – this area deals with businesses you want to create, careers you want to have and people you want to work with.

3. Personal – this category is strictly based on you - skills you want to master, material things you want to buy, vacations you want to take and places you want to see.

4. Health and Fitness – here you will consider physical fitness, spiritual fitness and mental fitness. Consider subjects such as exercise, nutritional habits, spiritual development, learning new ways of thinking and overall awareness.

5. Fun – yes, fun! We all need to have fun in our lives. I want you to think of things that bring you joy – I don’t care if it’s playing golf, painting ceramics, fishing, dancing or riding roller coasters. Whatever makes you laugh and smile, make time to do it.

6. Relationships – this is the area where you concentrate on the people in your life, whether they are members of your family, clients, a mentor, co-workers or employees.

7. Contribution – these are the entities you want to give back to society. You can contribute your money, your time or your talents.

Now that you understand what each of the seven areas of life are, it’s time to decide what you want in each area and to begin visualizing achieving your goals. (Go to “This Week’s Action Step” below).

" If you don’t have an outstanding plan set for yourself in writing, you will live working for somebody else who does, and is, using you to manifest it."

THIS WEEK’S ACTION STEP

In closing this week, I'd like to offer an exercise to complete in the week ahead:

Knowing the seven areas of life and deciding what you want in each is a huge step in attaining your dreams. Now it’s time to stake your claim to the life you want. Below are the seven areas listed again, only now there are questions I want you to ask yourself and answer (write them down in a journal or notebook) to get crystal clear on your true desires.

1. Financial – How much money to do you want to make each month? How much do you want to invest? Save? What are the debts you want to pay off?

2. Business/Career – What businesses do you want to create or be involved in? What do you really want to be doing every day of your life (career wise)? Who do you want to work with?

3. Personal – What material things do you want to buy for yourself? What skills (dancing, playing a musical instrument, learning to swim, etc.) do you want to master? What countries or famous places do you want to visit? Where do you want to go on your yearly, monthly, vacations and what do you want to do?

4. Health and Fitness – If you could have the physique you wanted, what would you look like? What exercise have you always wanted to try, but never have? Are you satisfied with your current eating habits, or would you like to eat healthier? What religion or spiritual practice would you like to study? How would that practice enhance your spiritual life? What mental habits do you need to work on? Do you need to develop a better attitude towards yourself and the Universe?

5. Fun – What activity do you look forward to? What activity makes you feel like a kid again? Is there something you enjoy doing, but don’t make time to do?

6. Relationships – Who needs you to spend more time with them? At home? At work? Who do YOU need to spend more time with? Is it a mentor? A spiritual guide?

7. Contribution – What charity or community project do you want to contribute to? Do you want to give your money? Your time? Do you possess talents that could benefit that charity of project?

Once you have answered these questions, write out your goals for each area. Now, for each area, and each goal, I want you to visualize three action steps that will help you attain each of your goals, then write them down. Every day visualize - first, taking action, then, accomplishing your goals, one by one. Visualizing helps you to create a convinced mind – a mind that is convinced that EVERYTHING you want is not only possible, but that it is ALEADY happening!

I want you to do at least one action step for one goal every day until that one goal is accomplished. Then, move onto another goal until every goal becomes a reality.

See you next week!

Mark Victor Hansen

Day of Rest ----Day 10 ----Recuperative Time

After another long, long night, it was obvious today would need to be a day of rest, and that's what I've done, minus a few emails and short talks on the phone. I dreamily watched the DVD my client gave me, sunned myself for a few minutes on my deck like a wise cat, viewed a Maya Angelou interview online, took a lengthy nap whereby I feel that I actually got rest, juiced and ate real food, and have continued self-care. Early to bed after a good night call with my son ;-).

(While waiting for my call from Big Z, I began to read Max Steingart's "Make the Internet Your Warm Market". Mostly it's about using IM, or Instant Messenger, to create contacts or leads by reading profiles and adding them to your list, building relationships with them through common interests.)

Stay well everyone.

May your weekend be delightful and full of wonder.

Uphill We Go ---- Day 9

Okay, I didn't want to confess it last night to myself or to too many people; but alas, the truth of the matter is glaring: I caught a virus. It happened on the coaching call last night with such intensity after Maggie and I did our role-play . . . UGH.

I won't bore you with details, for you've all been where I am. Let me suffice it to say it was a real challenge for me to get up knowing that I had a Reconnection to perform; and no knowledge if my client would want to go through with it, or whether I should. ;-).

To test my engines, I got up at 7 and began drinking more liquids. I checked email and replied to my support team. Thanks to you all for being there for me ;-).

I called my friend who signed up with a Business Starter Mall this week to discuss her desired purchase for a little flower stand she wants to create. She has a Home Depot credit card and this is where we began our search. Over the course of the call, we narrowed ideas down, found another store, which amazingly appears connected to Home Depot. I copied off the items so she could show the manager of the space she wants to use. Already, we're helping her change her shopping habits ;-).

My client DID want to proceed, so I quickly got ready to receive her. It was an interesting session to say the least. But we did it ;-).

At the end, as so often I feel, I felt the moment of "birthing a new person" into the world. I don't know why it is, but it is kind of like a rite of passage, or a stepping through with intention into a new reality. I feel that from this moment forward in the person's life, it will be assuredly different. How glad I was that we got to finish the second of a 2-day session, because it is powerful to be witness to another's healing process; how not fun to have to interrupt half-way through when your client is excited and ready for the work. To learn more: Http://www.thereconnection.com.

My client brought a DVD for me to watch, and as we spoke about when I would return it to her, Live Chat came up a second time in the course of our conversations. She asked, "What is this Live Chat that you do?" I told her it was a customer service position with a company called Together We Can Change The World, and that my son and I also have a home business with. We talked about the principle of TWCCTW and T-Day and the SIFA Choir. I will send her information about T-Day and the TWCCTW Day song. She sounded intrigued.

After the session and our debriefing was over with, though there were challenges to say the least when the sinuses aren't cooperating with the intention of focused healing, I was generally okay until I sat at my computer to check email about 15 minutes after she left. I hadn't eaten anything much substantial since last night, sticking to broths, teas, and liquids with a few pieces of toast. Therefore, being after lunch hour, I was quite hungry. I opted for the healthy lunch and made a fresh juice, hoping, too, that it would assist in the body aches, etc.

I found a friend to pick up my son from school, called the school, took a hot bath and got into my chair for a short nap. It was a restless time with aching body. When Big Z arrived, I got dinner going while practicing the art of Reflexology with some laminated cards another client of mine gave me to play with. Thought I'd see if I could bring some relief to my pounding head, etc. ;-). Big Z opted for Harry Potter time, and ended up not eating what I made, instead wanting a frozen banana with Vit C and cocoa in it.

I called Jacki for a quick check-in as I sat down to dinner, and got ready for the Go To Webinar Meeting for the Live Leads team. Since the call, been checking email and updating Jacki on slots I can fill and where all these leads will come. Big Z Gives Big, that's where, to our foundation mall at http://www.bigzgivesbig.com. And, I also read the Update for tomorrow ;-). Good things continue to come to TWCCTW and MPM. This is an exciting time of growth . . .

I stated I would follow-up today with the person who I resent info to last night. I'd hoped to do this before the Go To Webinar Meeting event. It didn't happen. I just don't feel well. Therefore, I'm going to self-care and get to bed. Big Z is at Cub Scouts and his Dad kindly offered to care for him this evening so I can get another night of rest.

I intend to wake up feeling much better in the morning, and, having gotten a full and wonderfully fit night's rest.

Sandy, sending you and your family prayers and good wishes . . .

Jacki, sending your kids the same, hoping their health returns, too, AND that the rest of you stay 100%.

Blessings to you all and may good tidings find you this night.

Moving Forward ----Day 8

I forgot to post that last evening at the Science Fair, I spoke to Big Z's teacher about the information mix-up via email. We confirmed she was looking at the wrong information so I asked her if she checked her junk email box. She said she didn't have one, and didn't receive the info. So, I cleared it with her and said I would mail it again today. This afternoon I spoke with her and reminded her to look for it this evening. I mailed it to her this afternoon.

Here's one thing that I've heard about email: Email is unreliable.

Therefore, no telling WHAT happened to the email. I'm glad we followed up with each other so that I knew. So, follow-up, everyone.

This day entailed a Reconnection with a client after getting Big Z off to school. We rode our bikes again and it was c-o-l-d compared to yesterday . . . Brrr. Hope it warms back up soon ;-).

Today I had a call with an MPM member on our team and we talked about a client of her sister-in-law's that is working to help raise funds for a group in Uganda. My eyebrows raised in the air and we discussed how MPM could help them. She said she thought she'd already mentioned them to me and had thought of that herself. In May they will have a fund raising event a short bit away from her, and she is helping them. GREAT. This gives her a wonderful opportunity to connect with the client and his partner. She is happy for our efforts and celebrates our growth.

I opened up Jacki's email and re-read the World Changer Team Script. I had already copied it down and had begun reworking the scripts for my ease of use during the Boot Camp. Later in the afternoon before our Coaching Call, I pulled up all the Docs and caught up with where I'd left off. I reworked the Prospect Info Sheet to follow along with the Interview and typed it up as a separate document.

What I've done is separate pieces of the WC Script into smaller, easy-to-use documents. Most of them are in a Notepad version for ease of copying and pasting into emails. I still must do the MPM Member Checklist. Will get on this tomorrow. I wanted to have all the info in this document streamlined so that I could be more effective in using it.

With Jacki's permission, I will also see if we can utilize any of Saul's info that I posted on my blog from Peak Impact. I tuned into one of his training calls and wrote up a blog about it for reference. Until I get her approval, I wouldn't use it for the new Leads Calling Team as we are bound to use only the World Changer Script. However, calling my own personal leads, I would consider experimenting, but ONLY if I felt I wouldn't be confusing myself in the process ;-).

Here's the link to the blog posting on March 2:
http://bigzandhismom.blogspot.com/2009/03/blog-talk-radio-family-chats-lead.html

Spoke with Jacki regarding the scripts and tonight's Coaching Call.

I called my sister, Big Z's Aunt, and basically asked her to help us out and sign up for her mall already ;-). I told her good things are coming and she would benefit . . . that some how, some way, she would still be able to shop at Costco and this would be worth her while, AND, she could help us win a contest.

We've been talking with her off and on from our beginnings; and when Boot Camp was in play, she was one of our "warm leads". Big Z spoke with her one evening after he called and left her a VM. They had a good conversation about his biz. When she and I followed up for details, she had some heavy considerations. She wasn't able to find value for her and her husband and couldn't get beyond that she didn't have people to refer; she wasn't sure that they wanted their store front biz to have its own additional revenue stream; she couldn't see how gift cards could help them; or how they would make any money. It was challenging for her to jump from the idea of earning rebates for yourself vs. having hundreds of people helping her generate rebates by everyone doing a little shopping, shopping they do everyday, anyway.

If you've been following along, you know that we spoke with her this weekend about the juicer and partnering up. Well, I'm happy to say that she created an email specifically for her new business and she agreed to sign up as a Business Starter Mall.

She asked, "So what happens when I want to buy something? How do I get to the mall, and how do I know if something I want is there?"

I reassured her that I will help her with all this, and help her research products she wants to buy. I will hand hold her a bit because she is a very busy woman who cannot handle much else on her plate right now. She also has a lot of stress in her life, very little time to herself, and she has health issues that are bothersome. She's my sister, and well, sometimes for family, you go above and beyond what you would do for another; and then again, sometimes you wouldn't ;-).

She doesn't fully believe in what we are doing, but, she loves us and wants us to succeed. Let me restate that another way: She won't fully get behind this idea until we "show her the money" which means making enough money to support our needs, and get us south to CA to visit a few times a year ;-). She wants to know our needs are met, that we aren't struggling, that she doesn't have to worry about our well-being. It may take some time, as all businesses do. I told her so already.

The name of her email account lets me know she gave it some thought after we spoke, and she may have been ready to "jump on the wagon" to shop long before today; but she just hasn't had time to "think" beyond is facing her every day and after falling into bed each night just to get up and do it all again the next day. And, yes. She's already signed up with a Mall name that matches her email address name ;-).

I don't recommend that everyone attempt to sponsor a family member who isn't completely on board. The reason is that it could very well be a situation that causes strain, or, the mall never grows, or, extra work may be created for the sponsor. However, I believe in my dream for me and Big Z; and I believe in the dream that one day I will be able to help her in the way she is helping me (This dream expands beyond helping her to helping all my family members, whether or not it includes their own business malls.).

Yes. It will take time in our own business; it will take time to share with her in bits and pieces as she's able to handle it; yes, it may take extra work for me to look for items and help her order them; but in the process, she will be rewarded and so will the children of the One-Child-At-A-Time Program, Big Z's Foundation, Big Z and myself. Eventually, the tide will turn and she will be able to take the lead. I'm sure an excitement will build and Costco will be able to continue to be her main store . . . whether or not it is on the mall.

Remember, MPM has gift cards she can purchase with her Costco Credit Card and earn rebates from them as well as rebates from her own shopping mall. AND, what's more? She will soon be receiving an opportunity to take advantage of the *NEW* grocery, fuel, merchandise and pharmacy certificates that Ginny and Jacki have given us hints about. That in itself is a powerful gift to offer her, one that could potentially add hundreds of dollars to her and her husband's pocketbook every year.

Read Daily Update for today, April 22, 2009.

Double-dose of exercise on bikes today ;-).

Roll-playing on the Coaching Call tonight with Jacki and Team. It was a lot of fun. Tune into Blog Talk Radio for Together We Can Change The World. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/twcctwradio. Our call went over by 1/2 hour (the last 1/2 hour isn't part of the recording on the site as the show cuts off on the hour). Thanks, Jacki! And, thanks to the participants. It was wonderful to meet some long-time MPM members and Miracle Team Members who are now World Changers.

I gave a F/U call to my lead I spoke with on the 18th. She said she didn't get my mail, that likely it went into her SPAM, but her filter automatically deletes it. I verified her address, and then told her what address to expect the mail to come from. She promised she would check her SPAM filter. I resent her the info. Will call her again tomorrow afternoon.

Update and reply to blogs.

Good night, All.

Moving Forward ----Day 7

Greetings One and All,

Another bi-i-i-zzy day here in the land of Life . . . needless to say, I didn't adhere very well to my schedule today and instead pulled an all day shift ;-).

The day began after a heavy night of sleep with daylight beaming in the window. I awoke with a start and thought for sure I'd missed my alarm; I was fresh from a dream that I cannot tell you about at this hour . . . I can tell you that I DID miss my alarm by about 4 minutes. I must've gone off near my pillow and ran its course before I awoke. I can also tell you that all night I tossed and turned with slogans running through my head for Jacki's contest . . . Big Z and I worked on them at dinner after the Coaching and Family Chat Radio Shows. He even got up in the night and hollered out a good liner . . . I was too tired to write it down so I asked him to really focus and remember it when he woke up. It was THAT good.
Alas, I don't remember what it was either, nor did he remember it. Maybe it will return to dreams tonight for capture . . .

Jump in shower and then get computer set up for Live Chat. We had a lively time this morning as Big Z was using the juicer to make fresh squeeze iced mango/banana . . . MmmmMMmmm. And we got to visit with our Director of Customer Service for a bit, which was a real treat.

Since the car still needs assistance from the mechanic, we jumped on our bikes for school and were thrilled with warmer weather. What a beautiful day . . . It felt so warm by the time I got home, that I felt the need for something cold so I decided on the healthy side since this juicer is out on the table: carrot, celery, cucumber, parsley, parsnip, bean sprouts and garlic with an ice cube thrown on top. MmmMmmMm.

Now, when I sat down at my computer for Blog Talk Radio Coaching Call, Jacki didn't sound real excited about my drink, but I admit, it was tasty. I was glad for the reminder about f'ree ways to get some business cards from stores on our mall. They are on our list for our goals right now.

After coaching call, I called the mechanic . . .

Then, I called our friend that we spoke to about the biz last week. She decided to help us, so, she agreed to sign up with a business mall. She's not very savvy on the computer, so we are teaming up so she can get some rebates and some shopping certificates and I will help her learn to shop on her mall. To do this, we tweaked an email account she had, gave it a new password, and got her set up. I will encourage her to "remember" to help her 16 y/o boy to shop on their mall, too.

Read mail from Jacki regarding leads team and viewed the training video twice.

Called Big Z's Dad and let him know we may have a change for the better on the fee associated with the VISA Gift Cards, so, we got his approval to go ahead with his sign-up for a personal mall so that he's ready when/if the fees are waived OR a better option appears.

Spoke with Jacki via email and made some plans a few times throughout the day.

Explored some training for leads for a few hours.

Spoke with Earth Angel and Boot Camper, Tom F. regarding goals he's achieved and working on, and I updated him on mine.

Made some lunch, finally, too late in the afternoon ;-). The neighbor girl came looking for Big Z, who was still with his Dad by this time. Her Mama was home instead of off cleaning a house, so we spoke for a few minutes. She asked what I was doing and I told her I'd been working all day and what we were up to. I told her about our goals and what our plans were until school let out. I reminded her she could get going right away, but she shook her head and said, "No, it is too hard with the no Spanish." This is our El Salvador Family, and just as I suspected, her decision to not move forward is because she feels they don't have the language skills to succeed. I wish there were some way I could tell her that the language doesn't have to be a barrier. I will attempt to find more ways, but . . .

For this moment, I had to run to eat that lunch, and be ready for Big Z and his father to pick me up for the evening science fair.

We've just gotten home and it was quite an event with baking soda and vinegar explosions, weird yeasty growing bottles with rainbow colored hands growing in various sizes, water rockets flying into the sky, and every manner of experiment in between. Desserts overflowed the tables and it gave an instantaneous result of hyperactive kids flying around the upper and lower portions of the school with little room for them to bounce off the clustered sets of parents.

Blog update, and now bedtime, as we say, for Bonzos.

Good night, All. Sleep tight ;-).

Moving Foward ---- Day 6

Juice begins our day: apple, carrot, ginger and spinach ---MMmmMmMmmm.

Today is the day that is most busy with MPM out of the week; however, it's the day that has the least scheduled in terms of taking action directly related to our goal for June 13, 2009. Our day has worked according to plan, almost . . . the car didn't cooperate this afternoon and leaves us with a new solution to find. Those on Coaching Calls know that we already gave it a new car battery a few weeks ago. ;-). Fortunately, though it took us a long, long while to drive less than 5 miles, we made it home creeping with hazard lights on. Now, at least, we and our car are safe. We can bike it from here.

At school drop-off this morning, got to share with our school friend about our busy MPM day ;-). (Drop hints when you can 'cause it "reminds" people about what we are doing.) This is our friend that has her family in town this week and she's preoccupied with their visit. Will f/u next week.

Live Chat has a large portion of the day from 10AM -2 PM. Got a call this morning with excitement and curiosity about the upcoming shopping mall. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the juicy details of what we are to receive when it launches in June. I can say that I am excited and am looking forward to being pleasantly surprised along with everyone else!

***********NEWSFLASH*************NEWSFLASH*************NEWSFLASH*********

I have been accepted onto the Leads Team. Will await word about specifics and understand from the evening calls it's tomorrow! We had to agree to the terms for acceptance (kind of like Boot Camp) and also give days with 2 hour time slots we would commit time to calling; and have 5 hours per week to devote to testing the system. Also, we commit to being on a team call once a week.

I'm excited!

;-). Told Big Z about it this morning after I got the email and he was smiling, saying, "Well, Mom. That should be easy because you already have more hours than that available!" Going to have to give him fresh juice everyday, eh?

Live Chat was busy today for me, so 100% attention was devoted to helping MPM-folks get their questions answered.

Piano was very good. Big Z is working on "Sour Lemons" and it's pretty sour, for sure.

You got enough about the car malfunctions above.

Tuned into Coaching Call and Family Chat this evening.

HAPPY to confirm that our sign up MAY be in our Foundation Mall to qualify for being put into the winner's pool for Ginny's contest this week ;-). Having this extra $25 per month in VISA Gift Cards will help our little household immensely, so, we're going for it ;-).

And, tonight, it's only hit home how powerful Flash Cash will also be for us this month. Duh, these two contests go hand-in-hand. Good luck everyone!

Updated blogs and a bit of emailing and that's all for today. I seriously don't know how it got so late already. Just kidding! I do know. Activity after activity after activity brings you to the end of the day ;-).

So, off to bed 'cause first thing at 0645 will get programs launched for another 'round of Live Chat and then out the gates for Jacki's Lead Calling Challenge.

Hope everyone is well and thriving as the week comes moves into full throttle.

Enjoy!

Day of Rest ---- Day 5

Rest? Well, I don't think the day had any rest in life, but rest did occur in TWCCTW/MPM, and it's according to schedule.

The sleep-over last evening was a great time and capped off this morning with a orange juice with apple and spinach juice, followed by a great breakfast, Pokemon, and a bike ride around the community. This was Big Z's friend's first trip around "town" and on a bigger bike, so we kept it slow, took some trails and tame city streets, and practiced the rules of the road.

Next came the Boy Scout project from last year ;-). The Pinewood Derby creation. Spent most of the day outside with a coping saw, chisels, a vise, working hands, sand paper of various grits, paints and brushes . . .

While we awaited paint to dry between coats, we tackled the bikes, and cleaned their chains and gunk. Then came the idea to finally thaw the freezer since I'd gotten to the ice chest in the garage, AND, we were out in the warmth and partial sun. So, got at the long task of letting ice thaw for a few hours. And, well, we were still out there, so got sweeping done. And, then more time was available, so we put the odometer gadget Big Z got for his B-day on his bike . . . tested it, tweaked it, tested it again, and whew! Big Z got up to 12 miles/hr.

Big Z's Dad showed up with supplies for the science project and Big Z showed off his new gadget on his bike and his pine box car.

The little pine box car isn't quite finished yet, but it will be by next Monday evening weigh-in. Getting into the house for tackling the rest of the freezer, putting goods back into it, cooking dinner all the while helping Big Z get the last of his science project info onto a board for the school science fair tomorrow evening.

Pollen must be floating around out there good 'cause my day has been filled with sneezes, blowing of nose, and an inflamed body (seems this season is bringing this on with the allergies). I'm happy bed-time is near and a new day will bring a new week ;-). Rest feels welcome.

It was fantastic to spend quality time with Big Z. It's not been often over the last years we get to share weekend time, time not attached to the scheduled clock. This is one of the reasons I kept Sundays off the work schedule, so we can take full advantage of our time together (we'll be flip-flopping partial weekend time until mid-June). I was glad for it, and it was wonderful to putt-putt around the pad in the warmth of springtime . . . I'm looking forward to more days like this, MINUS the pollen.

Had one check-in regarding info I'd sent to be reviewed. I replied with another email. I believe there was a mix-up in which email was intended to give info about Big Z Gives Big. So, I clarified where to find the links and from what email address to expect it (in case it went to the junk box). Will know soon if I am correct, or, whether a face-to-face is needed.

Filled out our April Grocery Rebate Coupon and look forward to sending it in the mail tomorrow morning. Any day we should get our first grocery rebate card for $25 -- YEAH.

Wishing you all a great night's rest AND a supreme week --- there is a lot in the works, and, so well, we'd might as well get after it: new shopping mall coming; new flash cash incentives; Ginny's challenge for the $500 grocery rebate that ends on TH; the new leads testing for Miracle Team Members; and more to come! http://www.bigzgivesbig.com

T-Day is just around the corner on May 2nd, too.

And, Sandra W. should be having her baby ANY day now . . . She's a Boot Camper Extraordinaire who continues to amaze me with her efforts as a pregnant mom with a full-time job, living in a new community and with a toddler at home AND giving a tremendous effort towards MPM. She's a leader and a wonderful person, so please cheer her on and say prayers for her and baby's well-being as they come into the home stretch; and add a few for her who family as they transition into their new time together.

Tune in tomorrow, Monday, for Blog Talk Coaching followed by MPM Family Chat. Find all the details at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/twcctwradio. Monday 5 and 6 PM PT; Tuesday 10 AM PT; and Wednesday 5PM PT.

Coaching calls are for anyone, whether new or a seasoned My Power Mall member. Bring your questions and challenges so that Jacki and the team can get you rolling in the right direction.

Moving Forward--- Day 3

I realized something today. It was an oversight that surprised me. I have been pulling my document up on the computer daily to check in with my scheduled time and to read over my Achievement plan. What I had not done is print out my achievement statement so it was where I could read it and remind myself of what I'm working towards.

Today I copied, pasted and enlarged the text. I printed it out and now have it pasted to the bookcase to the right side of my desk so all I need to do is turn to the right, look up, and read my statement. In this vicinity is also the Magic Power Beans statement for me and Big Z that was part of the Boot Camp training materials.

Last night I read something about helping people get what they want while moving towards my intention. The term used for it was harmonic intention. I like that term. As I read my goal statement, I realize it is impersonal to others because it says nothing of the help I give to another as I take steps to achieve it; it states what I would like to receive. I will be reworking this statement to reflect harmonic intention.

If you would like to tune into a call next week from Tim Sales to listen in on his discussion about how to grow your teams using harmonic intention then join his call.

Tim Sales is a professional through and through. He has created a huge team of his own, and has dedicated his life to improving the "professionalism" associated with businesses from home. He is helping create Professionals. A few years ago, I listened to his Professional Inviter and Brilliant Communication programs. They are very powerful and well, "professional"!

I have also seen Tim Sales speak live and got to talk with him in person. I was blown away by his presence. He carries the air of "brilliance" around him. I'm not saying he is brilliant, but that his energy is brilliant --- he has a lightness of being, yet a powerful presence, he is well-groomed and seems to emanate a radiant glow. When you talk with him, he gives you 100% of himself in that conversation. He is professional and yet compassionate and human. I was so attracted to him and by the end of the day I knew why:

I wanted to be like him---- Living my life with all my needs met, living my life passions, giving of my time to family, friends, and my larger community, and devoted to the service of others, to effect a positive and healthy change in people and in the world and having inexhaustible resources, living my life in a very balanced and spiritual way.

Tim Sales created his fortune and could have stopped there, gone away and hidden himself on a remote island. Instead of doing this, he's co-created his life to be in harmony with living ---- he eats well, gets proper exercise, he has massive doses of fun and adventurous activities, he has quality time with his family, he devotes his life to service, he shares his seeds of wealth with others, he inspires people to become more. He chose instead to continue to be a leader, a professional, and a World Changer. I'm so glad he did, because the seeds he drops, I benefit from. Maybe you can too. The call is f'ree:

Today was a full day. As I gloss my list of accomplishments, I find that many items were attended to, items that are indirectly and directly related to my goal.

--I checked off the change of payment information for Big Z's to mine based upon recommendation from two tax advisers.

--I gave a F/U call to one of the Moms from yesterday. I sent her direct links to the shopping mall for Big Z Gives Big, and another link for the presentations. I spoke with her about her intentions and clarified that she would only like to be a purchaser of items on the mall. I explained about the school's potential involvement. She is an educator, and therefore, on the computer far too often for her liking. Her biggest reasons for only wanting to do her personal shopping are: 1) no time; 2) no desire to be online any longer than she has to; 3) does not want to talk to others about biz or shopping. Will check in with her again after her family leaves town in a week.

--F/U with friend from yesterday. Still no decision.

--Set up a master Gmail account for all MPM related correspondence.

--Update blogs and reply to blogs

--Exercise, Juice, Meditate

--Research on the mall for an item for my sister. Jack Lallane Juicers. My mom has one and my sister has asked if we have one on the mall. We do. And, many other choices besides! I called my sister. She wasn't home. (We've spoken to her previously about supporting Big Z and thus far, she's still a Costco fan and is set in her ways). Will call her tomorrow.

--Email

--Update my plan and annotate accomplishments on the list

--Sort and sift papers, notes, & biz importants near my desk for ease of reference (more work to be done here . . . this is an Earth Angel project, for sure ;-)). I got side-tracked in this process to look for the author of a quote I have on a torn off sheet of paper. I looked online and didn't find it ;-).

But even though I can't give proper credit the author, I will give you the quote now:

"Take heart. The seeds of success are often born through difficulty."

I think this quote must've come from one of our phone directories. If anyone knows the author, would you please reply and let us know? Thanks!

--A habit I'm getting into that I began in during Boot Camp, especially after January, is to document my time. I have a notepad. I write the time I get up, and every activity that I do throughout the day. This gives me a way to look back on the day and see how I spent my time. I will have a ready source of information to let me know if I'm choosing activities that "spin time" or that "move me forward to my goals". This is how I can look at my day today and know that many of my activities were indirectly or directly supporting my goal.

A sincere evaluation of my day towards my goals: I didn't make enough calls or talk to enough people. Knowing this, I will make up for it and get better at making it a priority to "talk to enough people".

Dreamer Reminds Us to Continue to Dream

{1st portion of this post copied from our 4/16/09 post.}

Today I was blessed to see a story about a woman who has held her dream in her heart from the time she was twelve. She is now 47. She gave a promise to her dying mother that she would sing. Fulfilling her promise, and in honor of her mother, Susan Boyle, from a small village in Blackburn, Scotland, has captivated the world with her beautiful voice. Her story goes to show that no matter what odds we may face in life, or how old we become, we can still live out our dreams, sometimes in most unexpected ways.

Click to View YouTube Video. I've just watched her video again with Big Z, and I'm so glad the Internet has brought her story to our home. I am just as touched and captivated as the world.

Today, CBS gave an interview to two hosts of the show:

Watch CBS Videos Online

There were bits of this show that stood out for me. One was a comment that exemplifies another motivating "why" Susan has that propels her dream forward. In her interview from her home, she says to the camera, "I'd like to perform in front of the Queen (Elizabeth II) if I can. She's very regal lady, a very lovely lady." Wow. That's quite a specific goal ;-). And, it's a very courageous one.

Judges for Britain's Got Talent show, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, have wonderful comments to say about Susan's incredible appeal and the uplifting example she provides the world. Read their exchange below, taken from the video clip above from the CBS Clip, "Susan Boyle Sensation Grows".

Amanda:

"It just goes to show, you know, you can dream your whole lifetime and dreams can still come true . . . anything is possible."

Piers:

". . . What the world needed from this recession, which has made everyone so depressed, is a bit of a tonic. And the great thing about this clip, and Susan's performance, is that we all watch it and we all just feel incredibly uplifted by her performance. And it shows, you know, America is about living the dream. Susan Boyle is the absolute personification of somebody who waited all this time, took her chance, and is living the most incredible dream."

Amanda:

"It can happen at any time for anyone."

And, I would add it can happen for you, too, right here, right now. Claim your right to live a dream. Your dream. There is no time like today to get started. Rather than be depressed and discouraged by the world situation, and economic conditions, be a dreamer like Susan Boyle. Risk. Stretch. Grow. Be Vulnerable. Stay true to yourself. Discover your passions in life, for they are the fuel that can propel you forward. Discover your why behind your dreams. Then take steps towards them each and every day.

Together We, along with all the other Susan Boyle's out there, Can Change The World!

Going Through The Fire ----An SBIY (Someone Believes In You) Message

Picking out a 25-pound “nugget” of clay, she wedged it up, over and around its center. She used the same pattern -- up, over and around -- to methodically remove air pockets from the nugget. Up, over and around she moved the clay on the darkened clay table. This most crucial step in creating clay products -- called wedging -- cannot be overlooked. Air pockets now would mean disaster later when it went through the fire of the kiln. Satisfied she had the clay ready, she rolled it into a ball, eyed the black plate (or bat) on her wheel, and slammed the clay hard. It responded by gripping the black bat and sticking.

Potter's WheelThe potter spun the wheel -- her hands pressing and molding. Shoulder muscles tense, she formed the clay in the center of the spinning wheel. The off-white porcelain clay needed only a few drops of water, a push and a pull. Then finally, the moldable clay settled into a spin that made her hands motionless. Success! With the clay centered, she could begin her day's work.

Putting her thumb in the middle of the clay and slowly pulling up the sides, she formed the mouth, or opening. Ever so gently, she pressured that clay to move upward. Forming the walls of the vessel, she kept the pressure equal on both the inside and the outside of the clay. Happy with the form, she trimmed the excess and smiled.

The process of lump-to-vessel still amazed her. Satisfied with her creativity, the potter set the clay vase to the side table to dry until it was "leather" hard. Day after tomorrow, she would be able to finish the trim work on the bottom and score the piece. When totally dry it could be “fired” one time in the kiln. This first firing would be a "bisque" firing, leaving the clay baked but porous enough to accept the decorative glaze. Like a kid with finger paints, she would dip and paint. This bisque firing was necessary to set the clay's properties, so when fired again with the glaze, it would remain whole and unharmed by the intense heat. This clay would require several hours of kiln time. With temperatures exceeding 1100 degrees Fahrenheit, going through the fire was no easy task.

Wondering why she never considered the parallel of real life and the life of a vessel, the potter ceased all activity and let her mind flow.

Many cultures believe humans evolved or were created out of the earth...thus; we are earthen creatures or vessels.

Our earthly life is lived in stages. As clay on the wheel, life molds, shapes and forms us. Our experiences soften us, harden us, inspire us and sometimes ruin us. Therefore, as vessels of clay, we experience the good and the bad, the positive and the negative, the birth and the death of human existence. Each step in the process of making a vessel correlates to steps in a human's life.

However, the potter related to the intensity of the kiln most of all.

"Going through the fire" meant being stronger, harder, durable and capable. How many times had she felt like that? When watching her grandmother die, she felt the fire of grief. As she lived through the heartache of a friend’s divorce, she experienced the fire of compassion. Since giving birth, at times the fire of overwhelming responsibility shadowed her joy. As her financial future collapsed, she daily tasted the smoke from the fire of fear. Walking out the love in a committed relationship, the fire of devoted passion didn't always burn as brightly as she wanted.

An epiphany occurred within her. Never again would she view the process of creating her beautiful wares as mundane. Never again would she tenderly place her vessels in the kiln without a moment of silent meditation for their safety as they endured the intense heat. She knew too how sometimes a vessel simply exploded when exposed to the concentrated heat of the kiln, damaging not only it, but also those vessels close to it.

Marveling at the correlation, she reflected on all the vessels in the art studio...each one in a different stage of creation. Each creation waited for its own time in the fire. Only with this final step of production could a clay vessel fully fulfill its destiny. Clay pots, teacups, water pitchers, plates, spoon rests, bowls, dishes, mugs; all had one thing in common...they all had to survive the firing process of the kiln to be of use. They had to go through the fire to BE the vessel for which they had been created.

Tears of understanding rolled down her face as the potter received this understanding of her life.

It is not just her life this relates to...it is my life and your life.

We all go through uncomfortable and difficult times. Yet the vessels (the people) that make it through the kiln are strong, resilient, and effective.

I often wish there was another way to become stronger. I know though, that it is through the hard times I grow the most. I bet you are the same.

Today if you are "going through the fire" of hard times, be assured that it is a temporary time. If you find yourself in the "fire," remember you are in good company. If I am not there with you today, I bet I join you before too long!

Today, be nicer than is necessary...remember everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Here's to you! Wherever you are in the process of life, remember…

Someone Believes In YOU!

And I do, too!

Taking Action Day 2

DAY 2 Efforts and Results

My four contacts today were follow-ups with folks I've spoken to in my community regarding Big Z's businesses since the start of Boot Camp.

1 is a friend
2 are friends and parents of children at Z's school
1 is our neighbor

I will follow-up with them tomorrow to set a time with the 2 from school to learn more as one has slow Internet connection, and the other needs support with getting to the mall. Since we're in the same community, a personal meeting is in order.

My neighbor, originally from El Salvador, may still feel the language barrier is an issue for them. Since we last spoke about Big Z's business, they have been approached by Spanish speaking friends from their church regarding another home business endorsed by a major businessman. I believe they would've gotten started, if it weren't for the fee involved. The Dad has been laid off from work for a few months now, and it's only this week that he's gotten to go back for "temporary" time. Mom is still cleaning houses and the church. Even though it is unlikely they will pursue this business, I'm content to keep talking with them about it, because, one never knows when the tide shifts in a person's life and they can "see and hear" differently, trusting that they are just like anyone else and can do this business, too. Language does not have to be a barrier.

F/U with email to head of Big Z's school, a private NPO. Gave the link to the online NPO presentation, the link to the T-Day site, since we spoke about this in our conversation, and the link to the SIFA Choir song. I also let her know that if she finds value, and if a meeting is in order with the board, that they also look at this information before a meeting, so that everyone is on the same page. I let her know I'm open for questions, and if I can't answer them, I will find someone who can. I added that I've spoken with other parents about Big Z's Biz and that there is a support net already being built for a f'ree fund raising method, and that there is a strategy we'd use to support the school with their help.

In support of our health, we've unearthed our juicer and gotten our first bit of juice in us after Big Z came home from school: carrot, parsley, cucumber, and spinach. It was sweet, creamy and a good boost for our late afternoon before dinner ;-).

I was up in the night again, unfortunately. However, I didn't hang out in bed trying to get back to sleep. Instead, I got up and read emails, blogs, and caught up on our Someone Believes In You subscription ;-).

That did, however, give me a bit of fatigue throughout the day, but that was okay. Why? Because today was my lighter of my scheduled time for working MPM. I was "scheduled" to give a 2 1/2 hour chunk of time towards MPM on my calendar. In the end, I've given small snippets throughout the day talking with folks in my community, and gave a chunk of time this evening to the rest --- about 2.5 hours.

A big part of me feels that I didn't make my contacts . . . or move my beans (we are using small polished stones) today. I count the people I've spoken with as "new" this go 'round since follow-up with all of them hasn't happened since Christmas. However, knowing that I'll be working with leads causes me to say, "Hey! You didn't call anyone today!" So, I'll be listening to my inner voice and quieting it when it acts up; and I'll listen harder when it's telling me something really important, like, "You'd better move those stones, Girl, or Jacki gonna be on your doorstep in a heartbeat. It don't matter she lives 3000 miles away!"

Updated Big Z tonight on who I've spoken with and the progress made. I've asked for his input about supporting his school through the NPO World Changer Mall and he's a YES! Also, I read to him my thank you written in the blog since he was with his Dad when I wrote it. When I finished, he said, "Thank you." I added, "Thank you, Big Z! I'm so glad to be your Mom; and it's kind of fun having you as my business partner, too."

Feeling good and optimistic. Now, for a good and fitful night's rest . . . This is the order of our late evening.

Day 1 Taking Action

Waking up this morning to begin Day 1 of my plan for achieving 15 people on the front line of Big Z Gives Big Foundation Mall in 60 days felt really good. I slept fitfully and am ready for the challenge, for creating new success patterns within an outlined schedule for success.

As has been discussed on the many training and Family Chat calls over the months, we all begin from somewhere, with a varying range of skills and strengths, fears and feelings of being invincible, situations and levels of self-development or experience we bring from our lives towards our goals. I have been preparing for this moment for years, working on all levels of myself, and all areas of my life. My results may or may not be similar to your results. I am here, providing an example and partnership with my son, Big Z, and giving you a story about a single mom who chooses the unconventional in order to provide for our family. In our present economy, some people may say I'm out of my mind; in a stable economy, people may say the same thing. I'm consciously choosing time freedom, flexibility, giving to others, family time, and the hope of a better future filled with ever-increasing resources to give back to ourselves, our extended family, to the world.

At the time of this writing, according to my new "schedule" I intended upon working towards my goals for 4 hours plus attending the Coaching Call on Blog Talk Radio with Jacki, but due to commitments that altered my intended schedule (apps. in life), I am now at about 6 hours plus the Coaching Call. I'm not discouraged even though I realize I've been "imbalanced" on my first day. I will improve ;-).

I worked with Big Z's father about gaining his personal mall again. We've spoken about this multiple times and finally set a date to help him utilize the VISA debit card. We worked all the avenues for maximizing his return, but the cost-reward for him wasn't there. He chooses not to shop online and hasn't ever thought of MPM or a similar venue being a good fit for him. He simply wanted to support his son as long as it didn't cost him anything. Our result of discussion and solution-seeking is that for now his answer is still, "No on MPM. I will support my son in other ways." He does not want an additional business.

I spoke with Big Z's teacher and she is open to learning more about supporting the school through MPM. I will send her the link to the NPO video.

I've read over the Miracle Team Training and refreshed my memory on the aspects of it that speaks to me.

I have shared with a former client and colleague, and to a friend in MPM, and to fellow Boot Campers, and my Mom, about my goals for the next 60 days to grow Big Z Gives Big's Foundation Mall.

I had quality time with Big Z through our appointments this a.m. and got exercise while biking around town to our appointments and by walking to the USPS in the afternoon, and by bouncing on my Re-Bounder.

I have registered as a user on Blog Talk Radio, read through a few tutorials, practiced how to chat and talk over the Internet, updated my profile and added a photo and linked to TWCCTW Day, updated the Team on my progress, and now I blog about my 1st Day.

I would like to thank those who are choosing to be my (our, 'cause Big Z is a part of the equation of my success, and our efforts are to grow his Foundation Mall) supporters. I really appreciate your support, for as you've shared that I gave you hope, encouragement, and strength to persist, I receive the same from you.

Tonight on the Coaching Call, I felt a surge of excitement, a feeling of purpose, a curiosity about how All will unfold in the next 60 days. Already since announcing my goals, there has been an Update from Ginny with a call to action for Miracle Teamers (World Changers) who are ready to be a part of a test group for a new leads system for MPM. You know I sent in my application yesterday, pronto. It was great to have Jacki reiterate lead calling tonight, and to learn what is expected of the lead test team, and a bit more of the system being put into place. Hurrah! We are ready to take action; we are ready to accept the gift of complimentary leads.

Sleep well everyone. I look forward to tomorrow with anticipation and hope for the gifts of the new day after a fitful night's rest.

Springing Forth with Action--- 60 Day Goal Plan for Big Z Gives Big Foundation Mall Growth

As spoken about on Blog Talk Radio today, a rough draft follows outlining my goals I mailed to Jacki Varacalli, in the wee morning hours Monday morning. I was up from midnight until 6:30 a.m. and with a combined sleep of about 4 hours, I started the day knowing I would be "on deck" with Live Chat Operator time for MPM Customer Service for 4 hours out of the center of the day ;-). Good news, though, it ended up because I ate well, I was able to gain energy throughout the course of the day; however, I was sure happy for bedtime when it arrived. Note that I have not included my color-coded schedule because I feel that is personal to me and need not be shared with everyone. Create your own schedule and admire the pretty colors of your life reflected on the page ;-).

A special thanks goes to Jacki for being the gentle and hot fire that lights under my feet: I will walk on coals ;-) and not get burned.

Another special thanks goes to Eleanor for taking the lead on posting goal-setting action steps and for joining Jacki on the Coaching Radio Show to share and encourage everyone to move forward.

BOOTCAMP WEB PAGE
A special thanks to fellow Bloggers and Boot Campers, SandyW and to TomF. Sandy has consistently taken the role of a leader and business builder. She inspires me to no end as a working mother with a child on the way (due any moment now) with a dream to provide financial stability for her family in a time of economic instability. She is grounded and consistent in her actions, thoughtful in her approach, and is willing to step out of her comfort zone. For instance, just take a look at Sandy's Blog Training Post for Yesterday, "What Is An Online Marketing Funnel?"

Tom has shared a solid alliance with me since the end of Boot Camp and provides a steady stream of support and encouragement to improve all areas of my life. He has quietly and powerfully led the Boot Campers in a proper approach to working with NPOs. He realizes through our alliance the power of supporting each other, and he chooses to give to others in the way that he felt supported by me in Boot Camp, providing those who request his assistance are serious about making wonderfully rich strides in their MPM goals through the Earth Angel concept.

A special thanks goes to those Boot Campers I have befriended upon our journey together that have kept in contact and who've recently offered their encouragement. It means a lot to me.

To my son, I give great big thanks in the biggest of Big ways to match the powerful spirit of his Big Z Self. His larger understanding about our situation and his desire to have his own business are the fuel that enables him to support his mother in taking steps towards bettering our future while bettering the lives of others. Big Z, without you being my partner, we may be at odds more than I care to admit. Thank you for believing in me as I believe in you, and for trusting that even when Mama's attention is diverted with x, y, and z, that I still love you immensely. And, it is your helpfulness that will be all the difference to our success. WE CAN DO THIS!

And, thank you to Nita, who is wonderful to visit with and who is supportive of the growth of her Live Operators' Businesses, like ours.

Thank you to Jean for giving added fuel and inspiration for our TWCCTW hearts.

Thank you to Ginny and the M-Team for your incredible vision and your incredible sacrifice for all of us, and for each and every person who's life is touched in some small way by TWCCTW and MPM.

Thank you to anyone else I may have missed here; please know you are in my heart and your exclusion here isn't intentional.

Thinking Big about T-Day

(Article gleaned from the Be The Difference E-Zine for April 7, 2009)

Together We Can Change The World Day (T-Day)

From the Director of T-Day, Jean Lachowicz...

Thinking BIG

It is safe to assume that every person who reads this newsletter is interested in BEING THE DIFFERENCE to help make our world a better place. It's also probably safe to assume that every person who reads this newsletter is already doing large and small things to have a huge positive impact on our world.

That is so wonderful! I guess we are all part of a great big network of people who understand the importance of consciously adding our own personal dose of love and kindness to every day and every aspect of our lives.

I met this morning with David, my accountant (tax time!), and over bottomless cups of coffee at a local snack shop, I told him all about T-Day and we discussed the power of large-scale inter-generational service activities at the community level. He is involved in our local chamber of commerce, and he has been grappling with basic citizen apathy. He talked about his seemingly futile efforts to go door-to-door canvassing for a recent special election and how many neighbors had no interest in or knowledge of the importance of their participation in basic civic activities. He talked about families that hardly communicate with one another because the kids are over-committed with extracurricular activities and their own "thing," and the parents are over-committed trying to make ends meet. He talked about the isolation caused by people who focus on a small corner of t heir own little world, and how many ideas and how many relationships we miss when people close themselves off from their community.

I countered with T-Day stories about Zoe and her eye-opening concern for the homeless, and Big Z and his ditch-cleaning treasure hunts. I told David about Thank A Veteran Day, efforts to save the Flushing RKO Theater, and entrepreneur programs for inner-city teenage girls. I talked about helping senior citizens get wired up for the Internet, helping Native American groups with their special events, and helping ailing kids feel loved.

David's eyes lit up as we began cooking up the idea of presenting T-Day to the Chamber of Commerce and its members: schools, businesses, agencies, and entrepreneurs. I've already emailed him our ebooks, and we are going to move forward to mobilize this community in service. As the T-Day tagline says, "Mobilizing millions, one person at a time."

As we were parting, David reminded me that he and I originally met at a community meeting, long before I started my own business and long before I needed to use the services of an accountant. We met because we were both engaged in community activism, and we became friends because we found ourselves sharing many of the same values. He noted that networking and building business contacts is a gift that enriches the lives of everyone who ventures out into the larger world.

So my own theme for this week is THINK BIG! Stretch, grow, and reach. I hope you join me in that big beautiful world out there!

(Our next T-Day is Saturday, May 2)

Together We Can Change The World!

Let us know what you or your group did. We'd love to print it right here in the Be the Difference newsletter! Put "T-Day" in the Subject Line and e-mail it to jean at mypowermall.com.

By the time I finished reading Jean's "Thinking Big" article for the Be The Difference E-Zine, I got tears in my eyes. You see, we have had a lot of our years lived in a very similar fashion as her accountant observed in his community. Jean paraphrases David's thoughts during their visit: "He talked about families that hardly communicate with each other because the kids are over-committed with extracurricular activities and their own "thing" and the parents are over-committed trying to make ends meet. He talked about the isolation caused by people who focus on a small corner of their own little world, and how many ideas and how many relationships we miss when people close themselves off from their community."

This has been us with much of our greater community. We have revolved in our smaller circles doing what we can when we can, but, in between those moments of being able to assist those close to us, we have been "too busy" or "too tired" or "too pressed to place our attentions and energies elsewhere".

I have often thought of how my greatest giving went to my grandparents when growing up. I cared for my grandmother from the time I was 5 until she passed away when I was 16. She had Parkinson's Disease and other health issues that required full-time care. I helped my grandfather in his farm work by picking nuts, pruning trees, herding and feeding cows, etc. Aside from the other few friends we would help in times of need, we didn't have experience in our community assisting others; my mom was in her own world of "too, too" to be able to look beyond her little family; and my step-father was always working, bringing the dollar home to provide for us and his children that lived.

This is a trend I've wanted to change for my children . . . Though my childhood hopes of being a mother of three hasn't come to be, I have a fantastic young man, Mr. Big Z. He's a wonderful blessing in my life and he's helped me become a better person on this big planet of ours. Years pass by so quickly and I turn around and he's 9! Where has our time gone and what have we given with it?

We've helped others together when we can. There are many times I've helped others when he wasn't with me because he's usually with his Dad at these times. When we have gotten to help others together, he's enjoyed the experience and so have I.

Through the Spirit of Together We Can Change The World Day, a spark ignites my desire to increase our giving to others in a larger way, to change the trend I grew up with of not helping so much outside of the family to helping others on a much larger community scale. Though our projects haven't been on a grand scale as yet, there will come a time when they will be larger in scope, and will effect our larger community. For now, knowing that we are part of a group of people who have the T-Day Spirit within their hearts that connects us together, and by focusing our energies to give on one Saturday a month, it feels like we are giving on a much larger scale than our project of cleaning the ditches in front of our home.

What T-Day has done is illuminate the gifts we have been able to give to those in our smaller networks and acknowledge that it's by helping one person, one family at a time, that we can Be The Difference. T-Day reminds me of the "paying it forward concept" and brings awareness to all the smaller random acts of kindness that we do on a daily and weekly basis that we may take for granted as small and insignificant, but in reality, are huge and powerful when added together. T-Day gets our juices flowing as we consider new ideas and possibilities for giving.

We have Ginny and the M-Team to thank for the concept of T-Day. But, I wish to thank Jean Lachowicz for being the energy behind the Spirit of T-Day's successful launch and for the solid foundation she has put into place for its growth. Last evening on the MPM Family Chat, we learned that Jean has accepted the post as the COO for My Power Mall and a new T-Day Director will be hired. Admittedly, I'm a bit sad even as I celebrate Jean's advancement, for her skillful support of TWCCTW and MPM will continue. I will miss her more frequent T-Day stories and input; however, I know that we'll receive an equally effective, fun, and powerful person to build up T-Day from the firm foundations Jean has built, to take the helm of T-Day and expand its reaches around the globe. And, I know Jean will continue to share about her T-Day projects. Keeping in alignment with "Thinking Big" I know the M-Team will receive another powerful and insightful addition to their team and T-Day will explode around the globe, one person and one project at a time.

And, Big Z and I will continue to enjoy our T-Day projects as we expand our container for giving, sharing with those close to us how they, too, can become involved with T-Day.

You may be asking, "How can I get involved?"
