Today marks the first Together WE Can Change the World Day! Otherwise known as T-Day, this is a new community building event that will occur on the first Saturday of every month. To view projects and list your own, visit the T-Day site above by clicking the red text.
Our projects:
We've been helping friends!
We make it a practice to help our friends whenever we can. The biggest ways in which we support our friends is to ensure we keep them in our thoughts and prayers a little more when something is going on in their lives that is challenging. We did this all through the Boot Camp for our Boot Campers, and we continue to provide this for our Campers and their pets ;-). When it may be challenging to reach everyone physically, we know that through the power of our intentional thoughts and our prayers for their best and highest good, they will receive our messages and will also receive what it is they need most in those moments.
We also make this a practice with our family. Just now I have a Grand Uncle who's gone to the hospital this week with blood in his stool. They found an number of health concerns and finally opted for surgery --- a long surgery. My Grand Aunt recently had a new knee put in. We are sending our vigilant prayers and intentions for his healing, as well as for the well-being of our concerned family members, my Grand Aunt, Grandpa and Mom in particular. They all live in California, and, especially when afar, prayer is about all we can do.
Since Wednesday February 25, we have been helping a friend in need almost daily by walking her dog and taking her meals, and giving her healing sessions. We will continue this as long as needed. We joke she is our Together We Can Change The World Day Project since she believes very strongly in helping others and making a difference in the world. The reality is that we'd be helping her regardless of T-Day. It's just what friends do for friends. And it's one of our benefits of not having that 8-5 job we were writing about in our blog earlier --- it's really a gift to us to be able to give gifts like these ;-).
This weekend or early in the week, we are going to join our friends who are about to have a baby and have offered to help with whatever they need before baby arrives. We have an offer out to provide Big Z's friend and school mate with Reconnective Healing (both his parents and new brother-to-be have had their sessions), and offered Mom a back massage and some more energy work. {This offer will come to fruition on Friday March 13, 2009.}
Lastly, near our home, we have a patch of communal trail that is always riddled with trash and grass is over-grown. I've had meaning to call the city to ask why they aren't caring for it as they do the other green ways. Since I don't have equipment for the maintenance, will still call to see about that, but in the mean-time, we'll go pick up the trash and debris on this trail.
At our street, our street ditches are always full of trash and debris. We will clean out the one in front of our drive and for our neighbor. {See Wednesday March 11, 2009 post.}
Each and every day we can make a difference. We wish you a day of joy and we encourage you to visit the T-Day site, get ideas, and start your own projects in your communities, or, within a national organization that speaks to your heart.

We have another friend who's needing help tearing down a fence. {This job on hold, I learned, but she came by this afternoon and I cooked her dinner (she brought something to share). She's back from her trip to Europe and feeling blue. So, after dinner, we sat drinking tea and visiting. I offered her a foot rub and gave her a back rub and then we listened to Gregg Braden who shared about the Divine Name of God that is said to be only chanted it is so sacred. It was really wonderful, and my friend felt her tension ease away and left here a happy camper. Along with the chanted name of God, a crystal singing bowl in the tune of D played in the background. }
