Moving Forward ----Day 7

Greetings One and All,

Another bi-i-i-zzy day here in the land of Life . . . needless to say, I didn't adhere very well to my schedule today and instead pulled an all day shift ;-).

The day began after a heavy night of sleep with daylight beaming in the window. I awoke with a start and thought for sure I'd missed my alarm; I was fresh from a dream that I cannot tell you about at this hour . . . I can tell you that I DID miss my alarm by about 4 minutes. I must've gone off near my pillow and ran its course before I awoke. I can also tell you that all night I tossed and turned with slogans running through my head for Jacki's contest . . . Big Z and I worked on them at dinner after the Coaching and Family Chat Radio Shows. He even got up in the night and hollered out a good liner . . . I was too tired to write it down so I asked him to really focus and remember it when he woke up. It was THAT good.
Alas, I don't remember what it was either, nor did he remember it. Maybe it will return to dreams tonight for capture . . .

Jump in shower and then get computer set up for Live Chat. We had a lively time this morning as Big Z was using the juicer to make fresh squeeze iced mango/banana . . . MmmmMMmmm. And we got to visit with our Director of Customer Service for a bit, which was a real treat.

Since the car still needs assistance from the mechanic, we jumped on our bikes for school and were thrilled with warmer weather. What a beautiful day . . . It felt so warm by the time I got home, that I felt the need for something cold so I decided on the healthy side since this juicer is out on the table: carrot, celery, cucumber, parsley, parsnip, bean sprouts and garlic with an ice cube thrown on top. MmmMmmMm.

Now, when I sat down at my computer for Blog Talk Radio Coaching Call, Jacki didn't sound real excited about my drink, but I admit, it was tasty. I was glad for the reminder about f'ree ways to get some business cards from stores on our mall. They are on our list for our goals right now.

After coaching call, I called the mechanic . . .

Then, I called our friend that we spoke to about the biz last week. She decided to help us, so, she agreed to sign up with a business mall. She's not very savvy on the computer, so we are teaming up so she can get some rebates and some shopping certificates and I will help her learn to shop on her mall. To do this, we tweaked an email account she had, gave it a new password, and got her set up. I will encourage her to "remember" to help her 16 y/o boy to shop on their mall, too.

Read mail from Jacki regarding leads team and viewed the training video twice.

Called Big Z's Dad and let him know we may have a change for the better on the fee associated with the VISA Gift Cards, so, we got his approval to go ahead with his sign-up for a personal mall so that he's ready when/if the fees are waived OR a better option appears.

Spoke with Jacki via email and made some plans a few times throughout the day.

Explored some training for leads for a few hours.

Spoke with Earth Angel and Boot Camper, Tom F. regarding goals he's achieved and working on, and I updated him on mine.

Made some lunch, finally, too late in the afternoon ;-). The neighbor girl came looking for Big Z, who was still with his Dad by this time. Her Mama was home instead of off cleaning a house, so we spoke for a few minutes. She asked what I was doing and I told her I'd been working all day and what we were up to. I told her about our goals and what our plans were until school let out. I reminded her she could get going right away, but she shook her head and said, "No, it is too hard with the no Spanish." This is our El Salvador Family, and just as I suspected, her decision to not move forward is because she feels they don't have the language skills to succeed. I wish there were some way I could tell her that the language doesn't have to be a barrier. I will attempt to find more ways, but . . .

For this moment, I had to run to eat that lunch, and be ready for Big Z and his father to pick me up for the evening science fair.

We've just gotten home and it was quite an event with baking soda and vinegar explosions, weird yeasty growing bottles with rainbow colored hands growing in various sizes, water rockets flying into the sky, and every manner of experiment in between. Desserts overflowed the tables and it gave an instantaneous result of hyperactive kids flying around the upper and lower portions of the school with little room for them to bounce off the clustered sets of parents.

Blog update, and now bedtime, as we say, for Bonzos.

Good night, All. Sleep tight ;-).
