Moving Forward ----Day 8

I forgot to post that last evening at the Science Fair, I spoke to Big Z's teacher about the information mix-up via email. We confirmed she was looking at the wrong information so I asked her if she checked her junk email box. She said she didn't have one, and didn't receive the info. So, I cleared it with her and said I would mail it again today. This afternoon I spoke with her and reminded her to look for it this evening. I mailed it to her this afternoon.

Here's one thing that I've heard about email: Email is unreliable.

Therefore, no telling WHAT happened to the email. I'm glad we followed up with each other so that I knew. So, follow-up, everyone.

This day entailed a Reconnection with a client after getting Big Z off to school. We rode our bikes again and it was c-o-l-d compared to yesterday . . . Brrr. Hope it warms back up soon ;-).

Today I had a call with an MPM member on our team and we talked about a client of her sister-in-law's that is working to help raise funds for a group in Uganda. My eyebrows raised in the air and we discussed how MPM could help them. She said she thought she'd already mentioned them to me and had thought of that herself. In May they will have a fund raising event a short bit away from her, and she is helping them. GREAT. This gives her a wonderful opportunity to connect with the client and his partner. She is happy for our efforts and celebrates our growth.

I opened up Jacki's email and re-read the World Changer Team Script. I had already copied it down and had begun reworking the scripts for my ease of use during the Boot Camp. Later in the afternoon before our Coaching Call, I pulled up all the Docs and caught up with where I'd left off. I reworked the Prospect Info Sheet to follow along with the Interview and typed it up as a separate document.

What I've done is separate pieces of the WC Script into smaller, easy-to-use documents. Most of them are in a Notepad version for ease of copying and pasting into emails. I still must do the MPM Member Checklist. Will get on this tomorrow. I wanted to have all the info in this document streamlined so that I could be more effective in using it.

With Jacki's permission, I will also see if we can utilize any of Saul's info that I posted on my blog from Peak Impact. I tuned into one of his training calls and wrote up a blog about it for reference. Until I get her approval, I wouldn't use it for the new Leads Calling Team as we are bound to use only the World Changer Script. However, calling my own personal leads, I would consider experimenting, but ONLY if I felt I wouldn't be confusing myself in the process ;-).

Spoke with Jacki regarding the scripts and tonight's Coaching Call.

I called my sister, Big Z's Aunt, and basically asked her to help us out and sign up for her mall already ;-). I told her good things are coming and she would benefit . . . that some how, some way, she would still be able to shop at Costco and this would be worth her while, AND, she could help us win a contest.

We've been talking with her off and on from our beginnings; and when Boot Camp was in play, she was one of our "warm leads". Big Z spoke with her one evening after he called and left her a VM. They had a good conversation about his biz. When she and I followed up for details, she had some heavy considerations. She wasn't able to find value for her and her husband and couldn't get beyond that she didn't have people to refer; she wasn't sure that they wanted their store front biz to have its own additional revenue stream; she couldn't see how gift cards could help them; or how they would make any money. It was challenging for her to jump from the idea of earning rebates for yourself vs. having hundreds of people helping her generate rebates by everyone doing a little shopping, shopping they do everyday, anyway.

If you've been following along, you know that we spoke with her this weekend about the juicer and partnering up. Well, I'm happy to say that she created an email specifically for her new business and she agreed to sign up as a Business Starter Mall.

She asked, "So what happens when I want to buy something? How do I get to the mall, and how do I know if something I want is there?"

I reassured her that I will help her with all this, and help her research products she wants to buy. I will hand hold her a bit because she is a very busy woman who cannot handle much else on her plate right now. She also has a lot of stress in her life, very little time to herself, and she has health issues that are bothersome. She's my sister, and well, sometimes for family, you go above and beyond what you would do for another; and then again, sometimes you wouldn't ;-).

She doesn't fully believe in what we are doing, but, she loves us and wants us to succeed. Let me restate that another way: She won't fully get behind this idea until we "show her the money" which means making enough money to support our needs, and get us south to CA to visit a few times a year ;-). She wants to know our needs are met, that we aren't struggling, that she doesn't have to worry about our well-being. It may take some time, as all businesses do. I told her so already.

The name of her email account lets me know she gave it some thought after we spoke, and she may have been ready to "jump on the wagon" to shop long before today; but she just hasn't had time to "think" beyond is facing her every day and after falling into bed each night just to get up and do it all again the next day. And, yes. She's already signed up with a Mall name that matches her email address name ;-).

I don't recommend that everyone attempt to sponsor a family member who isn't completely on board. The reason is that it could very well be a situation that causes strain, or, the mall never grows, or, extra work may be created for the sponsor. However, I believe in my dream for me and Big Z; and I believe in the dream that one day I will be able to help her in the way she is helping me (This dream expands beyond helping her to helping all my family members, whether or not it includes their own business malls.).

Yes. It will take time in our own business; it will take time to share with her in bits and pieces as she's able to handle it; yes, it may take extra work for me to look for items and help her order them; but in the process, she will be rewarded and so will the children of the One-Child-At-A-Time Program, Big Z's Foundation, Big Z and myself. Eventually, the tide will turn and she will be able to take the lead. I'm sure an excitement will build and Costco will be able to continue to be her main store . . . whether or not it is on the mall.

Remember, MPM has gift cards she can purchase with her Costco Credit Card and earn rebates from them as well as rebates from her own shopping mall. AND, what's more? She will soon be receiving an opportunity to take advantage of the *NEW* grocery, fuel, merchandise and pharmacy certificates that Ginny and Jacki have given us hints about. That in itself is a powerful gift to offer her, one that could potentially add hundreds of dollars to her and her husband's pocketbook every year.

Double-dose of exercise on bikes today ;-).

Roll-playing on the Coaching Call tonight with Jacki and Team. It was a lot of fun. Tune into Blog Talk Radio for Together We Can Change The World. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/twcctwradio. Our call went over by 1/2 hour (the last 1/2 hour isn't part of the recording on the site as the show cuts off on the hour). Thanks, Jacki! And, thanks to the participants. It was wonderful to meet some long-time MPM members and Miracle Team Members who are now World Changers.

I gave a F/U call to my lead I spoke with on the 18th. She said she didn't get my mail, that likely it went into her SPAM, but her filter automatically deletes it. I verified her address, and then told her what address to expect the mail to come from. She promised she would check her SPAM filter. I resent her the info. Will call her again tomorrow afternoon.

Update and reply to blogs.

Good night, All.
