- 1 f/u with a friend who wanted to wait to view info until after the holidays were over. She still wants to learn more, and may share with her husband. Left ball in her court to contact me when she's ready. We see each other frequently, so, it's inevitable that I'll be so excited I won't be able to not mention it anyhow.
- 1 reply to f/u email from yesterday. The weather has wreaked havoc in their world, almost causing a terrible accident and potential death due to a flash flood that ripped down a little stream, tearing trees down, pushing boulders and debris. Angels were watching and he was fine. They've had to move from county to town as she's missed so much work. They have a baby who's almost one. She's the sweetest young woman. She's tried to view info before, but for some reason, hasn't had success due to their Internet connection in the location they're moving from. She really wants to get to it, if she can this week. I told her to take care of herself and her family, and let that be the priority. In addition, I asked her to call if she needs help in any way and we'll do what we can to help.
- post and respond to blogs
- a.m. and p.m. conference call
- lunch with friend who left town today
- Big Z to store to view toys
- Healing session with client
- Wonderful conversation with Jacki Varacalli, Director of Marketing. The board is in the water and we're surveying the waters . . .
I checked in with Big Z on the way to school today. He said he was happy about all that was happening in our world regarding his business. A few days ago he expressed some discomfort that I do have time diverted away from him towards growing his business, but he knows that he would rather have me home than to have me at a job. I was glad to learn that he felt differently now. Before we left, as I kept informing him of each new team member that was added to the Boot Campers teams, we went to the blogs so he could see your photos and put a name to a face. He added that he's in conflict about piano lessons because that will also reduce his time to do something else. As long as we keep getting time to play board and card games, I think it will be O.K. Our games have been in a box for so long, and we've really played very few since he was young, that to my surprise, he's really into it.
Today, like another time when Aletha mentioned us, Andrea spoke of how much strength and peace it gave her to have our comments of support to her as she went out to meet with the Director of Institutional Advancement for Cheverus High School. I wrote on her blog what it meant to me:
Andrea,
When you popped on the call this a.m. after returning from the meeting and sharing all you did, I was so overjoyed for you! Big Z was still in bed and missed the whole thing and I tried to fill him in as he ate breakfast. He, however, doesn't yet understand the scope of what's possible because of your meeting. All he knows is that I am excited, that Ginny is excited, and that Jacki is excited. Hmmm. I forgot to tell him that Jacki almost lept through the phone and into your home she was so excited. Have to do that when he gets home ;-).
Also, I am touched immeasurably knowing that our support of you, along with Tina's support, gave you the feeling that your "network" was right there in that room with you. It chokes me up, in fact.
You know, I'm doing what I feel called to do, and accept it, and feel glad that I have moments to write supportive comments on as many Campers blogs as I can. However, I did once hear a smallish voice that I shrugged off, "What if the Boot Campers feel that I'm intruding upon their experience?" and other such non-sense.
I know that by following your experience while carrying my own hopes and dreams for me and my son is feeding my soul, giving me additional hope, and fostering a tremendous connection to all of you. And, this feeling that I have, and that many of the Campers are also feeling, is precisely what Ginny and her founding team feel, and why they keep going; and, it's precisely what her vision carries for all of us--- enriching each other's lives. Thank you very much for your acknowledgement.
Enjoy.

Hi Big Z and MOM!! Thank you so much for all of your AWESOME comments on my blog!! I thought I would return the favor. I don't get to read the blogs everyday, but I always read the comments and I truly love hearing from you both. The idea for the commercial is totally cool. I'm going to try to see what I can do, but I will definitely have my computer going with the biz website up and running! Keep up the good work on your end!
Lisa
Thanks, Lisa ;-).
