(This quote from Ginny Dye on the last page of the World Changer Team Training Manual.)
Today I kept up with the Leads Team . . . checks-ins with a few of the members to discuss program, spoke with Jacki, and late this evening got on another GoTo Meeting for additional training.
Call time went much quicker today. I got through all 10 leads. I don't have the exact numbers, but I got a few no answers; more VM; and 2 connects.
One connect ended up hanging up on me, but I called her back and spoke with her. She said she didn't request info and didn't want any. Maybe that's why she hung up???
Another person I'd missed when I was calling, but she called my phone while I was still dialing other people. I called her back when the system was done calling the rest of the 10. We connected and set a time to talk this evening when she wasn't driving. At our appointed call back time, she wasn't in, so I left a VM reminding her of the email I sent, and my phone number, and that I would call again.
I didn't have the opportunity to f/u with my person from yesterday, and by the time our GoTo Meeting was done, it was too late in her time zone. I will call both connects tomorrow.
I updated some more of the World Changer scripts. Sent Jacki copies of the VM script I am using for these leads, as well as the Prospect Info Sheet and the MPM Member Checklist.
No juicing today, but got to have homemade potato soup, MMmmmmmMMMm.
Got Big Z to the Doc's to see about his blood panel from two weeks ago. All pretty good. We have a few improvements and will work to get his body what he needs.
The rest of the day was small little details that are important to the wheels turning. Amazing how the day has flown by and it's already 9:30 p.m.
Good news: Sinuses are slowly getting better and I am glad for my health returning, yet again!
I got a surprise in my mailbox today . . . A huge surprise that gave me a welling up of tears and such a feeling of gratitude . . . A Grocery Rebate Certificate from Ginny Dye. She sent her whole M-Team, Founding Members and her volunteers who help with TWCCTW and MPM, a grocery rebate certificate as a way of saying, "Thank you!". I was so touched and moved, I called her right away to thank her even as I was choking my tears back! By the time I got off the phone, tears were streaming and I admit I was sobbing a bit of thanksgiving, and so I called Jacki. I told her how terrific she was to not spill the beans earlier in the week when I was seriously disappointed in not being one of the fantastic five winners of Ginny's contest last week ;-). She wasn't in, so I left her a VM. And, you can bet I was the website in a heart beat to get my program started to send in my receipts for May!!!
WOW! WHAT AN AMAZING GIFT and TERRIFIC HEART our CEO EXHIBITS ;-).
T-Day projects in the wind for May 2:
1) Helping our friend we gave the truck to put in her garden . . . this will happen on Sunday, May 3, 2008.
2) Offer to help a friend mow acres of land.
3) On the following Friday, if the appointment can be made, I will likely be donating ALL my hair to Locks of Love. I did this a few years ago, taking my locks to above my neck; this time, it's likely I'll "bald it" to be able to give much more hair, and, really share a sacrifice for a very short while on behalf of all the kids who can't grow hair. I'm blessed. I have hair and it grows back. Though people may look at me like I'm nuts, I believe it will be a very humbling experience, and a chance to not only give, but to experience life without a head of hair ;-).
Anyone care to join me?

"WHAT IS LOCKS OF LOVE?
Locks of Love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. We meet a unique need for children by using donated hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. Most of the children helped by Locks of Love have lost their hair due to a medical condition called alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. The prostheses we provide help to restore their self-esteem and their confidence, enabling them to face the world and their peers.
"Mission Statement
"Our mission is to return a sense of self, confidence and normalcy to children suffering from hair loss by utilizing donated ponytails to provide the highest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need."
